Could you please ensure that your child brings their home/school planner in to school every day. Please feel free to write any comments in it.
Every Friday your child will bring their planner home which will have been signed by their teacher. This should be countersigned by the parent/carer and returned to school again on Monday morning.
All children are expected to read regularly every week; each time they read, they will receive raffle tickets. When they have read 5 times, they will receive raffle tickets and a merit, which will count towards their house. Other prizes for reading will be given in class throughout the year.
We will follow these to make our class and school enjoyable and safe places to be.

In Science, the children have been conducting many experiments to investigate materials including dissolving and filtering. In Design Technology, we have created an Anglo-Saxon settlement which is exhibited in the main reception, please come and take a look. The children are now designing and making traditional Anglo-Saxon clothing to dress peg dolls.
In PE, I have been training the children on their netball skills. As well as our netball team beating the Year 7 pupils at Manor, yesterday our school netball team won all of their games at the level 2 County games and are now through to the level 3 games final in the summer term.
Looking forward to meeting with parents of my class at parents evening where I will be sharing their individual achievements.
We are St Patrick, one half of year 6 at St Peters, and we have been very busy this term!
As well as dressed in our amazing book character costumes today we are also celebrating our class Saint – St Patrick.
As you are aware, Year 6 is an important year, as they will be demonstrating everything they have learned throughout Key Stage 2 in English, Maths and Science during their assessments in May. They Year 6 team have been setting revision tasks to embed the key skills and knowledge they will need. Please continue to work with your child at home on their revision tasks.
