St Peter’s School Current Newsletter - Text Only Version

Next Week’s LUNCH MENU = WEEK 2

No Newsletter Next Week

Packed Lunches

Would you please remind your child that there is to be NO swapping of food or eating other children’s food at Lunchtimes.  There has been an incident when a child was found eating biscuits from another child rather than their own lunch. Some children have allergies or intolerances to certain foods and eating the “wrong” foods could cause severe problems. Also parents/carers pack a lunch suitable for their own child and expect them to eat it all.

Rotary young Musician of the Year

Well done to all those children who represented the school at the Rotary Club Young Musician of the Year on Tuesday evening. We did not manage to get through to the next round despite a brilliant performance by all the pupils. Many thanks to Mr Asbury and Mr Lines for organising this.

Woodwind Music Tuition

Following the Woodwind Recital, from the Northamptonshire Music School, we would like to know if any children would be interested in learning to play either a flute or a clarinet. If we have enough interest we may be able to arrange for some tuition in school. The cost will be approximately £40 per term. If your child is interested please see Mr Asbury.

Kentwell Hall Tudor Experience - Wednesday 4th July

Letters were given to all the children last week. If you would like your child to take part in this exciting Tudor Experience, please complete the slip and Offsite Consent Form and return to the school office with a NON refundable deposit of £5 by February 6th 2012 at the very latest.

Radio 2 DJ Chris Evans has launched a competition for kids to write a story in fewer than 500 words. Find out how to take part at www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/500words/2012/.  It's a chance for all young writers to get involved and create their very own short story that's no more than 500 words (about two sides of paper). It's open everyone aged 13 or younger and there are two age categories; 10-13 and 9 and under. You could win yourself a pile of books as tall as Chris Evans, and 500 books for your school library!

Type your entry and email it into school to senco@stpeters-ce.northants-ecl.gov.uk  and we will email all the entries, print them in school to create a book for our library and award prizes for the best entries.
