Amongst other methods of raising money for the PTA, we operate an online shop, where you can connect to many well known online shopping organisations. By clicking through to their sites using our shopping links they donate a percentage of the sale to us. It costs you nothing extra at all and is safe to use. If you already use some of the suppliers for shopping you simply ‘log on’ as usual once you have clicked through from us. So before you buy online please remember to use our links to connect to your supplier, if you connect directly to their sites we won’t get any commission. St Peter's PTFA (Parents, Teachers and Friends) 2011/2012
Can you spare us a little of your time this school year? Can you spare us a little of your time this school year?
The PTFA is an invaluable source of support and fund-raising for our school, especially in these cash-strapped times. It has provided many resources for our pupils over the years, from dictionaries to televisions, music centres to playground equipment.
However, membership has declined over the years until it nearly stopped altogether this year. Mrs Blunden (Yr 3/4 TA) and I (Yr 6 TA) have stepped in to keep it going this year, with Mr Hanson (Caretaker) staying as Treasurer.
Among the events planned for the next term are the School Disco, the Harvest Sale, a Coffee Afternoon and the Christmas Fayre. If you are able and willing to lend a hand at any of these events, it will be greatly appreciated.
And if you have any fund-raising ideas or know of free resources of any kind, we’d love to hear from you!

*The PTFA is a registered charity so the money we raise is not taxable and to keep this status we need to have members on our books.
*If you buy things like car insurance via the school website, we get a nice little cash bonus. It’s worth a look!
*The sale of ice cream during the Activity afternoon in July raised £86. A good start, I’d say!
